Bonus Stuff ============================================================== 0. forward Alright, so maybe you're part of Spheredev and this is the first new Sphere game released in a while. Or maybe you saw this game on RMN. Maybe you tried to play it, and got stuck. That's ok, this game was made with only two playtesters. Worse still both of them had an unfair advantage, as they had both played Uninvited, and a lot of it looked familiar because of that. In any case, here you are because you're stuck. Well, let's fix that. I opened the game files, and read the juicey goodness inside. Well, it was more like bittersweet ambition, slightly tainted with time constraints and a half-assed attempt at compat- ibility with an engine that isn't even released yet. But fear not. I know what to do! ============================================================== 1. Intro A flickering image of a mansion (in a perspective style seen no where else in the game) splashes the screen for exactly 4/5ths of a second (did I mention I read the game files?) Probably the best looking part of the game, a road in full scrolling 2.5 dimensions sweeps past as the sun sets. A car that looks like it came from Fallout 3 pulls forward. Which is odd, the rest of the game looks pretty much like the normal world. Anyway, it seems the slacker behind the wheel fell asleep. He zooms ahead, and then runs out of gas. He decides he's going to walk back to that creepy mansion you saw, and ask for some gas. Aren't you glad you're not him? Oh, wait... 2. Downstairs You arrive in the Foyer. Grab the candle, and go through the door directly ahead. Now, you're in the parlor. For some reason, you're facing the door you just came out of. Odd. Anyway, take the door to your right to the dining room, then take the door on the right again to the kitchen. Grab the knife, and go right again. In the servant's quarters, open the drawer one up from the bottom on the dresser, and grab the weird little white diamond with a red center. Oh, it's matches! Didn't look like it, it looked like...well, I guess it might as well be matches. You could open the other drawers, but there's nothing essential in there. I do recommend reading the red diary, if you like story in your games. Go left to the kitchen again, and then to the dining room. Use the matches on the fireplace. We'll need that lit later. Go directly forward to the parlor, and use the billfold on the door to your right. Wow, nice thief skills, you're in the commons! It's actually a large room with a couch in it. Use the knife on the couch to get the brass key. Remember that other key in the kitchen? It doesn't do anything, this is the only key you need. Go right to the parlor again, and go up the left stairs. Yes, the two railing are actually different staircases! I thought they were two railings on one staircase originally. Silly me. 3. Upstairs Ok, so I guess this game has more than one music track. If you are into story, go through the door closer to the camera and read the blue diary. If you don't care, then just ignore that room. Forever. Go through the other door to the master's room. If you are still into story, read the note on top of the dresser. Cool, now you've read the entirety of the skippable story. Use the brass key on the dresser. Oh wow, a game state we haven't seen before (and never will again)! Enter 01191980. If you thought for yourself and examined your bill- fold, then you'd know it's your birthday. Hit the weird knob, and pow! You've got the star. It looks more like a pentacle...oh wait, this must be another one of those thinly veiled Uninvited references! I get it! Use the star on the bit of paper on the wall. Now take the paper. What, you expected it to be automatically picked up, like what happened when you used the billfold? Too bad. Now go downstairs. 4. Downstairs again If you want this all to make sense, go up the right side staircase and try and go through the door. Ok, now this will make more sense. Go to the dining room and use the magic note on the fireplace. Wow, this section is a lot shorter than I imagined. 5. The other upstairs Go up the right side staircase in the parlor. Now, light the candle using the matches, and go through the door. Just having the lit candle in your inventory is enough to go through the door. Yes, really go through the door. 6. The basement Listen to some story. This explains the whole birthday-lock combination thing. Use Nadir Zio on the heart of the body. Wow, you won. 7. Bonus Stuff There are two ways to lose the game. Other than just getting frustrated and rage- quitting. One is to use the bed in the servant's room. I don't know why only that bed does this...maybe the servant is dead, and haunting it? The other death is pretty...gruesome. Actually, this disturbed me the first time I read it. Go through the door that had the sutra on it WITHOUT the lit candle. Doesn't that just make your skin crawl?
